WILD HERBS DISCOVERY TRAIL
We are opening new horizons in Pehčevo and Berovo!
Our Herbalism Training Program is currently underway in Pehčevo and Berovo.
The goal of this training is to create a new generation of herbalists who will carry forward the tradition of sustainable herbal practices within the green economy.
Together, they will develop innovative business opportunities inspired by nature’s treasures while preserving and passing on the rich tradition of Macedonian herbalism to future generations.
During the training, participants have been introduced to plant taxonomy, the legal framework in North Macedonia, the fundamental principles of sustainable wild plant harvesting, the medicinal properties of herbs, their biologically active compounds, the health conditions they can help treat, and the preparation of natural herbal remedies.
They have also explored a wide range of medicinal plants in their natural habitats, learning how to identify them and understand their applications in phytotherapy.
Guided by an outstanding team and driven by a deep passion for herbs and nature, the Herbalism Training—part of the project “Skills – The Key to the Green Economy”—is being delivered under the mentorship of professional herbalist Biljana Pešova.
Now in its third day, the training is taking place in the fresh-air oasis of Pehčevo, where new opportunities are emerging for green startups, economic empowerment, and entrepreneurship within the green economy.

🌎 Next trip!… Follow us as we visit the areas in Pehčevo that were devastated by wildfires several years ago, where a vast area of biodiversity was lost.
