Herbalism & Botanical training
Botanical trainings and herbalism workshops in Kočani within the framework of the project “Skills – The Key to the Green Economy.”
A series of herbal and botanical activities were carried out at the Primary School “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Kočani.
Children experimented, explored soil, learned about substrates, minerals, plant life, and nature.
The botanical activities aimed to bring nature closer to students through practical learning, research, and the development of awareness about the importance of the plant world, biodiversity, and green skills as an essential part of modern education and sustainable development.
Training for wild herb collectors was also organized in the beautiful forest landscapes of the Plačkovica and Osogovo Mountains, part of the Emerald Network — the European biodiversity protection network.
he project “Skills – The Key to the Green Economy” is supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, with institutional support from the Republic of North Macedonia.
The project activities are implemented by MRK Dialogue from Skopje and the Center for Research of Nature and Culture “Nature Expedition” from Skopje.
Through activities like these, business-oriented adults and students have the opportunity to learn about nature in an engaging and hands-on way, develop research curiosity, and acquire knowledge and skills that are important for the green economy and for responsible environmental stewardship.
