ESSENTIAL OILS & NATURAL COSMETICS
The project activity “Essential Oils and Natural Cosmetics”, implemented under the project “Skills – The Key to a Green Economy”, supported by the Embassy of Slovenia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia, supports thirty young people with potential in the green economy in the Maleševo region.
Through educational and practical activities, the initiative focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to strengthen their entrepreneurial capacities and encourage the development of the green economy in the Eastern Planning Region of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The theoretical and practical training in essential oils and natural cosmetics promotes the region’s natural assets and potential, guiding young people towards establishing their own start-ups and developing business models that can provide economic security and opportunities for growth in the Maleševo region, which is known for its rich natural and herbal resources.
Particular emphasis is placed on the responsible and efficient use of natural resources, the selection of high-quality raw materials, and the opportunities to process plant-based materials into value-added products. In this way, the practical activities are also linked to the project’s broader vision: developing practical skills that can contribute to sustainable practices, local production, and the creation of products and services based on locally available natural resources.
The project aims to build a strong network of women and men working as craftspeople in their respective fields, contributing to a greener and more inclusive society while preserving and passing on traditional knowledge.
The project is implemented by MRK Dialot and the Nature Expedition Centre for Research on Nature and Culture, with the support of the Embassy of Slovenia and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia.
